Suspected Jehovah's Witnesses attacked by pitbull in the preaching work
by cedars inhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtrdafq0xac.
i guess this sort of thing is bound to happen, even though the society implies that angels are out there protecting jehovah's witnesses from harm.. interestingly, it wasn't an angel who came to the rescue, but a "worldly" bystander with his gun.. .

*** Jehovah Cares for You ***
Are you convinced of Jehovah’s saving power? Are you aware of his angelic protection? Have you personally tasted and seen that Jehovah is good? When was the last timethat you were particularly conscious that Jehovah had been good to you? Try to recall. Was it at that last home you visited in the ministry, just as you were feeling you could do no more?w02 10/15 pp. 17-18 par. 16
*** How Angels Can Help You ***
Do angels care for people and protect them? The apostle Paul asked: “Are they [angels] not all spirits for public service, sent forth to minister for those who are going to inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14) Clearly, the answer to Paul’s question is yes.w98 11/15 p. 6

Watchtower Dishonesty
by Vanderhoven7 injust re-discovered this gem:.
"it is a matter of fact that the history of the watchtower society is riddled with failed date-setting and abandoned doctrine,1 and the society has gone to great lengths to hide this past from its members.
older (incriminating) watchtower publications are virtually impossible to obtain through the society,2 while at the same time members are overwhelmed with "current" watchtower material.. the watchtower society has even gone as far as to publish disinformation about its own history in an attempt to convince readers that watchtower doctrine has remained consistent over the years, and that the society is not a false prophet.

Julia Orwell >>>
"Do you actually have the hardcopies of those books? Or is it just from the internet? In that case, how do you know apostates haven't doctored it?
What? You mean to say the doctoring done on the WT-Library CD over the years is of a higher quality?

Do the Governing Body members ever go Door-to-Door?
by 00DAD inin his book, in search of christian freedom, ray franz wrote that that gb members for the most part never participated in door-to-door work.
they were "too busy with more important things.
" (gee, how come that excuse wouldn't work for the rest of us?

Jan 3, 2013 letter about child custody packet
by outsmartthesystem ini couldn't help but notice in the ps to the body of elders at the bottom.......it reminds elders to review paragraphs 23-25 of the letter to all bodies of elders dated april 9, 2012. i looked back through my collection of letters and i don't have one dated april 9th, 2012. i looked through all of atlantis' posts and don't see one with that date either.
has one slipped through the cracks?
does anyone have a way of obtaining a copy of this letter?

Just like the pope is elected, by a 2/3 majority vote.
Information as close as it gets - there has never been an official statement in any publication about the procedure.
"A major factor in Governing Body decisions was the two-thirds majority rule. This produced some strange effects at times."
(Crisis of Consience (2004), page 115, by R. Franz, former Governing Body member)

Who of you ever lied on your field service reports?
by Julia Orwell ini've read a few people mention making up the figures for the field service reports, and i want to find out how common it is.
i never lied on my report.
sometimes i'd round up 15 minutes if i'd mentioned jw stuff to my brother that month, but that wasn't falsifying.

Is it the time cruisin' around between visits that needs reporting as well?
